See Me

OUT 2/2 on all platforms

About the song:

In this new single, Amelie navigates the painful struggle of leaving a toxic relationship.

“See me” is an emotive plea to be released when you don’t have the strength to end a poisoned situation yourself.

Amelie’s successful collaboration on her debut album with violinist Carolin Pook resulted in Pook composing and performing the string arrangement on “See me”. The arrangement is supported by Amelie’s HS friends on violas and cello.

Quote from the artist:

I wrote "See me" as a way to reach out to people that are in a toxic relationships, whether it is with a partner, friend, or family. The song is written as a "cry for help". My goal is to always be sincere in my lyrics and therefore hopefully relatable to the listeners.

"See me" was a release, and I hope it feels like that for others too.

"See Me" Lyrics:

Take me inside

You won't listen to me now

Telling me lies

Still love you somehow

Breathe, It’s all coming down

Please

I can't make you want me more than you already do

I can't teach you something you already knew

When your blame falls

I will let go

I can’t help you when you don't want me at all

Tumble blindly

I kept you for the ride

Why won’t you see me

You never even tried

Breathe, it's all coming down

Please

LET ME OUT!

Let me out, Let me out

Let me out, Let me out

Let me out, Let me out

Let me out, Let me out,

Let me out, Let me out

Let me out, Let me out

Let me out, Let me let me out

oh

I can't make you want me more than you already do

I can't teach you something you already knew

When your blame falls

I will let go

I can’t help you when you don't want me at all
