From the artist:
“foolove” is from a very raw place. i wrote it about a “hunter” or a person in a relationship that only knows how to take. It's about feeling preyed upon and knowing when you are being manipulated but too dependent to walk away.
"sink your bloodstained teeth into me" being the opening line sung acapella was a choice to start the song from a defenseless but still aggressive approach.
we sometimes tear out so much of ourselves to feed others that the act of giving becomes less and less of a sacrifice. the song is a cry for help but also a surrender to someone never changing.
Sink your bloodstained teeth into me
You pray for forgiveness and I’ll pray to be seen
Who’s gonna hurt you if you’re already out to kill?
Sitting in silence always feels like there’s space to fill
But it’s a fool’s love
It’s a foolove
Pick me up and take me home
I don't want this now
No I don’t want this anymore, anymore, anymore But it’s a fool’s ove
And I’m a fool in love
